The Bournemouth Transgender Library is a tiny but growing collection of books celebrating transgender people: their history, culture and existence.

Can I borrow a book?

Everyone is welcome to borrow a book or suggest books they would like to be added to the library. You can email hello@trans-library.lgbt to arrange to borrow a book.

How have you selected these books for inclusion in the library?

Unfortunately we live in a time of increased censorship of transgender and LGBTQ+ narratives. We prioritise acquiring books which have been removed from public libraries but also books with links to the local area.
